Hurlingham Avenue

Secluded garden views from the comfort of a warm cosy bed, multiple garden vantage points and elegant finishes were the goals for this home extension, and it sure delivered.

Kathy Barnsley Architects designed the luxurious extension to this Burradoo home. This Southern Highlands home renovation and extension elevated the house into a perfect weekend getaway. Complete with a separate wing for visitors and a master bedroom retreat connected through a glass linkway to fully encapsulate the garden views.

The retreat’s main features are the private entranceway leading straight into the garden from the secluded deck, the hidden walk in robe complete with custom joinery and a large luxurious ensuite.

The spacious monochrome ensuite demands respect as the mood setter for the retreat. The continuation of the floor and wall colour is a real eye catcher.

Our expert team modified an existing bedroom into a laundry/mud garden entrance and passageway between new and old as a continuous and considered floor plan. When looking for your ideal custom builder, you want a team that pays the utmost attention to detail to integrate your new space without disrupting the home’s character.

The original home no longer had a garage, so we constructed the two-car detached garage connecting the existing house and driveway layout as part of the project.
